About Winston-Salem
Winston-Salem is a city in northwestern North Carolina, in the Piedmont Triad region alongside Greensboro and High Point. It was formed by the merger of Winston and Salem, and Old Salem preserves much of the Moravian settlement's history. The city grew on tobacco and textile industries and is today home to Wake Forest University and Winston-Salem State University, as well as a downtown arts scene.
Barber shops here are scattered along the city's main roads. Two of the shops in this guide are on Peters Creek Parkway, another is on West 4th Street, and still others are on Carver School Road and North Patterson Avenue, so there is a choice across several parts of town.
This guide lists 5 Black-owned barber shops in Winston-Salem, NC, each self-reported via Google Business Profile. Below you will find addresses, ratings, review counts, accessibility details and booking information from each profile.

Using This Guide
This guide is a place to start looking, not a ranking; the order of the shops carries no meaning. Each business is here because its Google Business Profile self-reports Black ownership, and we do not independently verify ownership.
Google ratings, review counts and hours change over time. Please confirm hours and booking rules directly with the barber shop before your visit. Each business has a page on this site with its full address, amenities and more, if you want to look further.
